Windsor Warriors Basketball Club was founded by Steve Cooper in 1994. We have two adult teams; our first team is focussed on winning, with the second team focussed more on player development and participation. We also have a growing youth club. The club is a non-profit organisation that is democratically run via an elected committee of volunteers.
The Chair is responsible for ensuring the club runs smoothly, upholding the Warriors Code of Conduct, organising committee meetings and AGMs, fundraising, league meetings.
The Vice Chair is responsible for assisting the Club Chair in his duties, including things like player acquisition, and kit.
Responsible for the club's finances; ensuring players are paying, making purchases required for the club, making payments for courts and referees.
Player development, runs practice sessions, defines plays and coaches first team games.
Managing player and team registrations, player duties rota, as well as taking and distributing AGM minutes.
Responsibilities are the same as the Club Chair but for the Warrior Youth.
HOW TO JOIN
Pay to play
You're welcome to come along to our training sessions to see what we're all about, particularly in the off season during the summer. We recommend getting in touch before just to check there's been no change to the training schedule or venue.
Looking to play structured, competitive basketball as part of a social club? Come on down to a few practice sessions first to see if we're a good match. If you decide to join us, there are some one-off start up costs such as kit, insurance, and league registration.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour at all times. By joining us as a member you adhere to play your part by observing and respecting the Windsor Warriors Code of Conduct. Breaches of our values may result in action being taken by the committee.
